We look at what the Capreolus Club has planned for 2023.

Founded in 2014 and having arisen from a desire amongst hunters in the UK, for a high-end, professional service, the Capreolus Club has been growing steadily into the UK’s largest and most successful deer stalking club.

Capreolus Club diary 2023

Now with a burgeoning membership of well over 150 high-calibre members, we look at what the club has in store for 2023.

At first glance, there are the usual overnight favourites, Sika deer on a superb block of SSSI forestry on the Isle of Purbeck - in fact, there are no fewer than five return trips! Red deer stalking in both Exmoor and Scotland. Roebuck during the peak of the season in May and July and stalk days on the last and first day of the season for a variety of deer species.

Running alongside the overnight favourites are some pretty serious new and exciting trips, including Buffalo in Mozambique, Chamois in Austria and Driven Boar on the continent.

Other shorter events include a Bow Hunting Day, Pigeon Decoying days, range days at Holland & Holland and socials at London’s most prestigious locations. Locations that provide a feel for the quality of the club; Annabel’s, Purdey Guns, The Carlton Club, The Naval & Military Club, Holland & Holland, Home House, Bucks Club, the RAC, 67 Pall Mall, the Beretta Gallery and many other high-end venues.

Moreover, it is the quality of the hunting trips. Yes, deer can be unpredictable, and whilst with wild animals the club offers no guarantee of success, during the club’s most recent trip to the Isle of Purbeck, no fewer than twenty-one Sika were shot by just 6 rifles on a beautiful stretch of SSSI woodland, that is exclusively available to the Capreolus Club. In short, if you’re not a member, you’re not getting in!

As membership continues to increase, the club has, over the years, been able to expand and enhance what it offers to meet the demand of its growing membership, both in terms of its events diary, but also through its ability to arrange trips and guided stalking on a bespoke, individual basis for its members.

As the Capreolus club approaches its eighth-year anniversary, the club is going from strength to strength. Indeed, for experienced stalkers and for those looking to make a start in deer stalking, there is no better place. Not only is the club’s events diary second to none, but due to the acquisition of new prime grounds, the clubs PLUS scheme – stalking syndicate is now unrivalled, with success rates soaring and the quality of the animals excellent.

For those looking for a quality, professional service, there is no better home than the Capreolus Club. The 2023 events diary, syndicate grounds and fast-growing membership are testament to this.
